I Can Has Job?

 As of now, I am officially able to work under the local Summer Youth program! \o/

Although, getting to this point was certainly an experience. I had to go to an orientation and there were twenty-something "youth" there (and one mother). Not many looked very... professional. And when we were left alone a couple kids next to me started talking about how they were hardcore because they cut themselves. I can understand a bit why some of them needed help finding a job. >>;

I'm off tomorrow night to go down to Monterey with K. We're going to check out Santa Cruz college. Probably be back around Sunday evening. :P

Fairly Well Entertained

Happy, Cute
Woke up at eleven this morning after having gone to bed at eleven. Yipes, sleeping twelve hours is a kick. Didn't really tire me out or anything like it normally does, however. Also, awoke to a phone with a missed call. My old boss tried to call me. I never tried calling him back, but I did respond when his boss called me. He asked if I would work if they would drive me and I politely declined the offer. I really appreciate them wanting to help me out, but the job is not a possible one for me due to the heat and I'm a little tired of getting mocked because I stand on a street corner. What this tells me is that they would hire me back were I to ever want it, so I shall most certainly keep them in mind! :D

K and myself made crepes this morning from pancake mix and frozen strawberries. So, they may not be "traditional" crepes, but they were still delicious! (And low on calories!) I attempted to drink 64oz. of water today and suceeded. Woo! This gave me enough energy to make dinner for everyone. Homemade pizza with wheat crust. Mm. Delicious and healthy as well! With how I've been managing my diet it is no wonder that I've broken a weight barrier today and managed to further my weight loss sucess. >D

I'm considering doing an "A Day in My Life" post on that highlighted LJ community. I joined it and the postings look really fun. I also think it would be a good experiment. So, we shall just see when that happens, no? Picture journals sound fun. :P

Filled out some paperwork. Hopefully some of the tasks I've been working on will be completed tomorrow. \o/

Called my boss' boss back again. Told him about what happened and what I was doing. I made sure to emphasize that I did not think it was my boss on the line that said such crude things and I initially asked if his phone had been stolen recently. He was super sweet about the whole my quitting thing and said that he would keep his eyes open for any retail jobs near to my home that he could help me win. But, I think his sweetness may have been partly due to the incident with my boss' phone. Either way, I now have a great reference! :D

This has been such a strange day! AUGH. xD

In other news, will be going back to the career center on Friday, may be going to a party on Saturday, may be going to Sunsplash water park on Monday, and will be searching for a job next week. Plans, plans, and more plans. People better make sure to book me in advance for any of their needs. ;D

Now I can focus on other, non-sign-waving, things. :3

(Yes, every section ends with a smiley of some sort. Can't explain why.)

Have trecked valiantly through One Piece to episodes I haven't seen before. Now not only am I updated on all the old plot arcs, I'm absorbing all the new ones! However, my downloads are a little messed up throughout about a twenty-episode span, so some episodes are repeats of the previous episode (thus depriving me of two introduction episodes to new plots and one episode in the middle of a plot) and one is just plain broken. So there is this strange gap in my mind as to how A got to B and etc. but, I think I'm out of that forest now. I'll need to go back and watch those missing episodes at some point. Am currently at episode one hundred fifty-something. Hooray! :D

Will be quitting my job tomorrow. Standing in the sun for six hours in nintey degree weather is absolute murder on me. I've already began job searching and there is this federally funded program that connects youth to jobs that I already have an appointment for. Hooray! I'll laugh hysterically if this program gets me a job, since that will have made the whole process extremely easy. (My laughter would be sprung from all those who are currently chastising me about not starting me search sooner. I couldn't have done that anyway due to the severe level of schoolwork over the semester, so their point is moot nonetheless. :| )

Am currently selling old video games and school textbooks over Amazon.com to compensate for my current lack of funds. I did bank a check and some cash I received from textbook buybacks yesterday, so that helps immensely. I am the super, uber penny-pincher right now. Watch me be stingy! >D (...I would keep my job, but the heat would kill me. Besides, I'm a little tired of the mockery that comes from sign waving on a corner. Three months is enough of that.)

My grades are coming out one by one. I'm thinking I'll still have a 3.5GPA by the end of it, but it may be a little lower or a little higher. I currently have a B for Math (I should have tried harder, but it was the class that I spent the most time on during the semester already, so...) and an A for English (which, surprised me a little since it was in limbo between A and B and I always assume the worst xD). These two have made my GPA a 3.4, which is not so bad. I'm a lot more proud of my efforts for this semester than the last semester, but I still didn't work as hard as I wanted to. Must do better next semester. All A's! RAWRGH! >D

Have been mustering the motivation to work on some projects I've put off during the semester. Like dieting, for example. Urgh. It's going to be a long hawl, but I think I'll manage it. I even have a goal weight and all. I'm currently using the slim-fast drinks once a day and some other diet oriented food items. They're really helping! I actually am feeling a lot healthier giving up things like fast food and junk food. It forces me to eat slim and eat healthy. Major cheers for this, as I don't feel sleepy all the time anymore. *chortles* Next I'm going to try working on some art projects, like the MotS contest art and my Blue Bird fanfiction. I also want to try my hand at web design this Summer. This is after I get all my ducks in a row, however, so some other more important things need taking care of first (like finding a job).

A friend is coming over today to play Mario Kart with K and myself. As well as that, I have a couple items I already sold on Amazon to ship. Ahhh~ Life is rather wonderful right now. xD

After all that long rambling, I must ask: How are you all doing, friends? :3

The. Semester. Is. OVER!

OMFG YAY
You have no idea how much happiness I am filled with... except that I work the next two days... That subtracts a lot of happy. D:

Ah well...

I hope to get a mix of A's and B's, preferably more of the former. xD

Anyways, celebration plans are underway. So, here is the Illustration piece I finished in class today:

Off To Mom's House

Happy, Cute
I'm quite happy it's nearing the end of the semester because I'm really itching to get back onto dA and do some arting. <3

Had some strange illness this morning, so I missed the first half of Illustration for a few more precious hours of sleep--it really helped. Class was quite entertaining today and I really enjoy getting into my art and zoning out. After drafting my dragon and the color concepts I've started actually drawing it; I have the eye and the ear done thus far--I'll probably get more done on a full class day. Ran over to the dentist's after class ended and had some caps put on my teeth. The molds were done, so they just slipped the caps on with no shots. Following that was Jamba Juice for lunch. Now I just need to pack for Mum's house and head over there sometime around six thirty.

Oh, and K's parents are out of town, so the house is empty. WIN! :D

Now to meander about the house and have a nice few hours of relaxation. I believe some One Piece is in order...

Good Morning!

 I actually feel like posting on this fine morning since I've installed Google Chrome on this computer. Muuuuuch faster than IE ever could hope to be--and considering that it's a very old version of IE, I doubt it's hoping for much.

Plans for the day include...

...Writing my essay for my humanities class. This is extremely important as it is due tomorrow. However, I'm sure with a couple hours of focus (something I'm unlikely to get in the house) I'll have at least a rather good draft drawn out. My last essay was not as satisfactory as it could have been, so I must try much harder on this one. Wish me luck. <3

...Taking a math review and math quiz. This is not so bad as I've been doing math for this class almost every day for the past week. This bodes well as all the information is fresh enough in mind to be able to do well at it. I'm hoping for a good score on this one, too! <3

...Relaxing. Yes, I said it. I want to lounge around all day and lazily fondle my bamboo plants. Play Mario Kart and Okami. Watch Kashimashi and Fumoffu. Play with my iPod applications and watch YouTube videos. I shall hope to get to this point by five in the afternoon, so I shall start now on all the other things I need to do. I like days at home. :3

Today is a Working Day

Finally had the big, scary talk with K's mum. Not as big and scary as I had thought it would be, since most of the criticism was focused on K--even still it wasn't very much. (It was a talk entirely about what our responsibilities were, what their responsibilities were, etc, in an attempt to understand one another.) There are still a few issues with comfort, but aside from that I don't actually need to change anything I'm doing (as long as I pay attention to the dishes). This is good news, I suppose, but the whole thing was still rather baffling. (Any information on moving would still be appreciated, but like stated before it probably won't be used for a while.)

K and myself are considering traveling outside of the country in the next year and a half, so today we are off to apply for passports. This shall figuratively raid my bank account, but I needed to think about money realistically and this is the chance to do so. Overall, a very good thing. Spring break is next week and we're considering going to live in San Francisco with some friends for a few days. Other than that, I shall utilize the time for classwork; I want to be ahead in my classes when finals week comes.

I've been re-watching One Piece lately, and I've gotten up to episode forty-five. Nice! I need to catch up to around episode one hundred and thirty to be where I left off, but once I get there I'm sure the plot will all make sense and it will be wonderful to watch further. :3

I've been driving more lately and I fun the whole thing to be wonderfully fun (like Mario Kart, but not). So hopefully I'll be able to get a license by May and maybe a car sometime after. This is a lovely goal to work on. <33

Anyone (aside from [info]miss_silverwing ;D) have a Twitter? I know it is silly, but I kind of like posting strange pictures and thoughts, even if no one replies to them. Someday I can look back on all my tweets and go "Oh, yeeeaaah!" and perhaps good things will come of this. :P

What are you all up to for Spring Break and school? Cramming? >D

I WOULD LIKE TO WISH YOU...

  • The internet in the library still isn't working... (This is putting an extreme pinch on my productivity.)
  • One large essay to be done by Thursday. One large book report to be done by next Thursday.
  • This semester has a week 17, something that the last semester was absent of.
  • My "Video Games To Finish / Play" list is getting long, but my GPA is getting high. (Hopefully...)
  • Facebook works 1000x better on high speed wifi than on 56kbps dial up.
  • ...Reading some Fai/Kurogane shipping needs to be done by me. >>;
  • I now suddenly feel starved and rather faint. Wth?
  • The last bit might be due to the fact that I'm in the cafeteria, actually.
(Thought process over twenty minutes...)

Well, That Sucks!

Was going to spend today on the webs getting things done and updating LJ and whatnot, BUT the library's wifi is down for some unknown reason (probably a bad one, nonetheless), so I'll just be going home instead... and being productive on a slow computer... :'D

All is well... well, not all, but most is well. Not much has happened in life aside from the sudden revelation that college students need to work on classwork all day, most days, especially when they work. So, a re-working of priorities has occurred. dA is not high on this list, which is sad really. Ah, well, oh well.

Much loff to all that are living (and more to those that are undead). We work and work. Life, eh? xD

Today is Strange and Wonderful

This morning I started off the day with caffeine (Red Bull), which in turn made me participate in my morning class more. This is a very good thing and I believe it would be in my best interest to invest in some morning stimulation if it means doing better in my classes.

On another note, I am slowly, but surely, getting very important people in my life to join Facebook, so that I may talk to them more. Which reminds me, Jill, you too should join the insanity! It would be great fun to have you aboard! :D

I had more caffeine (AMP: Green Tea) for lunch and this may or may not have been the best of decisions. We shall see. However, while eating a woman came up and asked if Sally, Kile, and I minded if she took our picture for the college. It could appear on the fall course book, the website, or the television, depending on how they choose to use it. It would be very strange to be on the course book, but hey, it's an experience! xD

My week has been busy-ish. Last weekend I went to Tahoe and it was somewhat a bland trip, but what can you do? I was terribly moody and I can't exactly explain why.

To end, I give you an equation that I came up with that describes a function in my life. Cross-posted on Facebook:

Thanks to a certain somebody that I live with, I have learned that the following proves to be true. Let "B" equal the time I go to bed. Let "T" equal the time I start getting ready for bed. Let the number represent an amount in hours.

B=T+2

He's cute, but he makes my life full of stuff like this!

10 Good Things About Today

10. I am currently devouring an energy drink while on high speed internet and downloading a movie I want to watch. The essence of pure glee.

9. Although some small bickerings have erupted between me and my love, we seem to let go of them easily and without emotional harm to one another. This is a lovely thing.

8. My homework amount for this weekend is zero. My working amount for this weekend is zero. My socializing-with-people-I-don't-know amount is zero. I think maybe I might have a good weekend.

7. Midterms are over.

6. I'm finally beginning to get the hang of socializing though facebook... it's kind of fun! :D

5. New computer, new book, and new bed sheets! As well as an activated Microsoft Word. Can anyone say, "Wonderful!"

4. I have the person I love close by at all times. That's an extremely nice thing sometimes.

3. Even though I have yet to work out when I'm going to do some tasks I've been putting off, I have confidence that everything will turn out well. It's a good thing.

2. I get to go up to the mountains and play in the snow this weekend. <3

1. I'm going to make the most out of today, because I'm surrounded by wonderful people who want to do wonderful things. No negativities are going to spoil my day.

I tag whomever feels like their day might be perked up by thinking of all the great things within it. I know mine was!

Ergh...

This week... was midterm week. *flails*

I have learned my lesson. Online classes are not as easy as imagined. And three of them is overkill. Next semester calls for LESS CLASSES. In which I shall only take maybe four. Woo! \o/

Now, let me go collapse somewhere, watch Lion King, install SPORE, and all the other little things that I've wanted to do... Like sleep in! >>;

Er... felt the need to keep up with daily posting, or something of that sort.

My new computer runs like a dream. Someone on a review on the Best Buy website (for the model before this one) had commented that the keyboard works like butter. Which, I feel is a very strange way of saying how smooth it is. But, this applies to everything about my new computer. It just runs that well. And I shall attempt to quell any further gushing in case someone wants to strangle me for all I've done so far. *Cackles* xD

Lots of classwork to do. And work over the weekend. Jeebus, busy times are busy.

Now that I work I get to feel the aching dilemma of money of freedom. And, right now, I'm choosing money... >>;

My new laptop is here!

It's wonderful, it's beautiful, it's super fantasmic!

Pix later. For now, I simply give you this:

This is an online application that will let you test your PC to see if it can play certain games. This test was for Oblivion. My previous computer could not even pass the minimum and most of the time it wouldn't even be able to run this site. xD
